The 7 th Annual Fiesta Latina Festival will present a day full of ethnic foods, music, arts, and crafts that celebrate and endorses Latino culture. In collaboration with the Asheville Art Museum and the West Asheville Business Association , the festival has attracted over 8,000 individuals to its new location in West Asheville. Enhancing the local Hispanic flavor of both the talent displayed and in the participating audience; entertainment will include Mariachis Los Negrete and the headliner band, West End Mambo. The YMICC will continue to expand the scope of participation to the growing population in Asheville and to show connections between Latinos and the African Diaspora. Attendance is free.


Mission & Origins of Festival

The 2004 Fiesta Latina is a celebration of Latin American cultures with music, dancing, native foods, arts & crafts, musicians, children's activities and more! It is an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy a truly international experience. Over 8,000 local people and organizations come together to make this a wonderful and festive event!

  • Vendors, Artisans, & Non-Profit Org.'s featuring educational literature & aid
  • Children's Area open from 12 -6 PM with piñatas, entertainment & cultural booths
  • Food Area featuring authentic Latin American & Caribbean treats & beverages
  • Health Expo featuring free health screenings, information, and fun!
